It was alright, light not working In the bath/shower room, soap dispenser not dispensing, outside handle of the shower room door hanging on just about... Screws visible. USB charger socket loose not charging near bed . Room 504 Room very hot when arrived... Staff very helpful welcoming, location was ok close to to shops and eat.
It is a nice hotel with friendly check in staff. The bar and front desk are 24/7. The location is great for what we needed as its right in center of town. I have stayed here 4 seperate occasions now - 2 out of 4 of those times, the bedding was ripped and on one occasion I found a few hairs in the sheets.. Also, while check out is 12, and I had a DND sign up on my door, I got a knock from house keeping at 11.15 I looked through the peep hole and saw housekeeping standing there, went to get dressed to open the door and when I answered the door he had left and just a cleaning trolley outside. Not sure what this was about but i didn't appreciate the knock for what seemed to be, no reason at all. The mattress on this occasion was also very knackered and my partner and I kept automatically rolling towards each other as the middle of the mattress was so slanted and used. The general cleanliness on this stay wasn't great to be honest, there was marks on the toilet and as mentioned hairs in the sheets. This was the third floor. My other stays have been on the other floors which provided better mattresses and far better cleaning by the looks of it, more on par with what you'd expect when you stay in a hotel. The car/ back entrance of the hotel is in a bit of a dodgy area too with shady characters hanging out in groups. Just something to consider. The radiators are great though.

The Room was small but cosy. Only downfall was no Air-Con but, at least there was a window that we could open slightly. Bathroom was very small but has a decent shower. Location was perfectly situated right on the edge of the Eden Shopping Centre & just round the corner from Sainsbury's.
It's a nice enough place for a nights stay, I only saw one staff member during my staff, a friendly girl with highlights in her hair but didn't catch her name. Alot of the reviews talk about how noisy it is being right next to the main road but I didn't have any issues with that but the windows definitely need upgrading as they're were still letting air in even when they were closed so it was quiet cold through the night. The reason that it's a 4* and not a 5* is because at 3am a staff only door directly next to my room was being opened and closed constantly for 30 minutes every 5 minutes, I never saw anyone through the peek hole but the motion lights were on so I know someone was out there doing stuff, these doors don't close quietly so for it to be happening for half an hour at that time of night it's frustrating.
+ bar +food . Parking Eden center. shopping on doorstep All withing easy walking distance. Greg's is in the shopping center whete you can get parking . if you want a budger breakfast Also a tesco. And many other shops .
For the price, it's good. Breakfast is good too. No complaints, will stay there again when in town.
Nice comfortable clean rooms staff very nice and welcoming and customer service is great and nice and quiet hardly any noise from the road
